BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a graduate of B.S. Nursing or Radiologic Technology or any Allied Health Course.
  • Skilled/Trained to perform 2D Echo Procedure.
  • Knowledgeable in handling ECG, Echo machine, handling of treatment, and diagnostic machines.
  • With at least 1-year relevant experience.
  • With 2D Echo training certificate.
  • PRC license is an advantage.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs 2D Echo and other cardiovascular procedures with OPD and In-patients.
  • Prepare daily 2D Echo examinations for Cardiologist review and interpretation.
  • Assists the Pediatric cardiologist.
  • Release of 2D Echo results to designated recipients, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Proofreading of the results prior to release.
  • Ensures smooth transition of 2D Echo duties by providing a thorough endorsement to staff on duty.
  • Manages inventory of 2D Echo supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and submitting replenishment requests as needed.
  • Performs routine maintenance and care of the 2D Echo machine, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor promptly.
  • Performs Electrocardiogram (ECG) procedures, mobilizes patients, and conducts the following procedures; Holter monitoring, Ambulatory Blood Pressure (ABP) monitoring, and stress tests, providing support to staff as needed.
  • Performs 2D Echo in the ICU. Prepares and checks the equipment to be used in the ICU.
  • On call on weekends and holidays.
  • Prepares and issues charge slips for 2D Echo procedures or forwards to relevant department for billing as needed (on-call).
  • Responsible for changing bed linens daily in the 2D Echo department to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
