Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the daily operations of the production line. This role ensures that production targets are met efficiently and safely, while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. The Production Supervisor coordinates with cross-functional teams, monitors performance, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

A. Production Management

  • Plan, lead, organize, and control production line activities.
  • Conduct daily shift meetings and allocate manpower effectively.
  • Supervise and guide production operators to ensure smooth line operations.
  • Verify accuracy of work instructions and adherence to manufacturing procedures.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels and coordinate with support teams for operational issues.
  • Analyze failure trends and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and efficiency.
  • Provide technical support to resolve material and process-related issues.
  • Train operators on new processes and improvements.
  • Coordinate with logistics for finished goods loading and shipment confirmation.

B. Administrative Duties

  • Enforce company policies and promote discipline and morale within the team.
  • Conduct performance reviews and recommend recognition or disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Monitor attendance and update schedules in Kronos for accurate payroll processing.
  • Recommend and facilitate training, cross-training, and re-certification of operators.
  • Provide regular counseling and support to team members.

C. Equipment and Process Oversight

  • Ensure all machines and equipment are in good working condition with proper log documentation.
  • Lead the implementation and monitoring of productivity improvement programs.
  • Propose and initiate process changes to enhance production flow.

D. System and Inventory Accuracy

  • Monitor Oracle transactions including backflushing, cycle count entries, and inventory reconciliation.

E. New Product Introduction

  • Participate in the transition and implementation of new products, including process and material revisions, yield improvements, and capacity ramp-up.

F. Procurement and Documentation

  • Generate requests for production tools and miscellaneous materials.
  • Authorize gate passes during night shifts or in the absence of the Manufacturing Operations Team Leader or Cell Work Supervisor.

G. Health, Safety, and Environment

  • Adhere to quality and safety standards in all tasks.
  • Support and promote the company's health, safety, and environmental initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Proven track record in improving productivity, efficiency, and yield.
  • Experience in manpower planning, resource optimization, cost reduction, and employee safety and discipline.
