About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and technically adept Virtual Assistant to provide support during US night hours. The successful candidate will have a background in electrical engineering and be able to handle both technical tasks and customer service duties. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast‐paced, onsite environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service / Support

  • Respond to customer queries (via email, chat, phone) in a timely, professional, and courteous manner during US night shift hours.

  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues and escalate complex ones to engineering teams when needed.
  • Follow up on customer requests, maintain records of interactions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Electrical Engineering Support

  • Review and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, technical manuals.

  • Assist with design reviews, revision tracking, drawings updates (e.g. CAD or similar tools).
  • Support preparation of cost estimates, bills of materials, parts sourcing, supplier liaison.
  • Compile technical documentation, specifications, compliance or safety records.
  • Administrative & Project Coordination

  • Manage emails, calendar scheduling, and meeting coordination.

  • Organize files and documents (both technical / engineering files and general administrative).
  • Monitor project progress, track deadlines and deliverables.
  • Assist with preparing reports, presentations, and technical proposals.
  • Miscellaneous / Ad hoc tasks

  • Conduct technical and market research (components, materials, tools).

  • Assist with invoicing, quotes, documentation as needed.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field), or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience (1‐3+ years) in electrical engineering or technical field; comfortable reading schematics, interpreting technical documents.
  • Experience in customer service or support roles, especially handling technical or product/support inquiries.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace; familiarity with CAD or drawing tools is a plus.
  • Reliable and consistent internet connection; ability to work independently without much supervision.

Shift & Hours
  • Night shift aligned with US hours (e.g. roughly 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM US Eastern Time, or as agreed).
  • Full‑time (40 hours/week) or part‑time options depending on needs.
  • Must be able to commit to regular night hours; flexibility for occasional off‑hours or weekends may be required.

Desired Skills / Extras
  • Familiarity with electrical industry standards and safety protocols.
  • Experience with supplier communication, parts sourcing, or vendor management.
  • Prior remote work experience, especially working with US clients or teams.
  • Basic knowledge of cost estimation / quotations.
  • Comfortable using project management tools (e.g. Asana, Trello, ) or CRMs.
  • Problem solving mindset; ability to anticipate issues and suggest improvements.
