Universal Robina Corporation Sugar and Renewables is looking for a Total Rewards Specialist.
Position Overview:
TThe Total Rewards Specialist, as part of the Center of Expertise (COE) for Total Rewards, serves as a critical liaison between employees, Shared Services, and HR leadership. This role ensures the smooth delivery of compensation, benefits, and rewards programs by addressing service-level concerns, providing employee support, and maintaining compliance with organizational policies and local regulations. While primarily operational, the role also contributes to enhancing employee satisfaction and supporting the effective implementation of total rewards strategies across the organization.

Service-Level Coordination:
Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding compensation, benefits, and rewards-related issues, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with Shared Services and COE.
- Monitor service-level performance from both Shared Services and COE, escalating unresolved or complex issues as needed.
- Facilitate communication between the plant and COE to ensure proper implementation of rewards programs and adherence to corporate standards.
Compensation and Benefits Administration:
Coordinate with Shared Services and COE to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and benefits enrollment/updates.
- Verify compensation adjustments, promotions, and benefits data for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Assist employees with inquiries related to compensation structures, benefit claims, and program details.
Liaison with COE and Shared Services:
Work closely with COE to roll out corporate total rewards initiatives at the head office, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies.
- Provide feedback to COE on plant-specific requirements or challenges related to compensation and benefits programs.
- Partner with Shared Services to maintain smooth day-to-day operations for payroll and benefits processing.
Employee Support and Communication:
Conduct onboarding sessions, open enrollment orientations, and other informational activities to educate employees about total rewards programs.
- Address employee concerns related to compensation, benefits, and rewards programs, ensuring professional and timely resolutions.
- Serve as the plant-level resource for disseminating updates from COE and Shared Services.
Data Management and Reporting:
Maintain accurate employee records for compensation, benefits, and rewards in coordination with Shared Services.
- Generate and analyze reports on rewards metrics such as participation / availment rates, service-level performance, and cost analysis.
- Ensure proper documentation is maintained for compliance and audit purposes.
Policy Adherence and Compliance:
Ensure all compensation and benefits activities adhere to organizational policies, COE guidelines, and local labor laws.
- Communicate updates or changes to compensation and benefits policies at the plant level in collaboration with COE.
- Support regulatory compliance efforts by providing accurate data and documentation as required.
Administrative Support:
Assist with other HR operational activities, including records management, policy dissemination, and compliance tracking.
- Support employee engagement events or wellness initiatives related to compensation and benefits.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
Experience:
At least 1-2 years of experience in HR operations, with exposure to compensation and benefits administration.
- Prior experience in a Shared Services or Center of Expertise (COE) model and plant-based environment is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in HR systems (HRIS), payroll tools, and data management platforms.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
Behavioral and Interpersonal Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address service-level concerns effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with employees, Shared Services, and COE teams.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data management and compliance tracking.
Additional Requirements:
Knowledge of labor laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
- Willingness to work in a plant-based environment with occasional travel for training or audits.
