Job Summary

The R&D Specialist in Electronics is responsible for developing, testing, and improving electronic systems, components, and products. This includes circuit design, prototyping, diagnostics, and integration work. The role also involves researching new technologies that could lead to marketable solutions and coordinating with After-Sales to address recurring product issues and customer concerns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuits and systems.
  • Create and update schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts.
  • Develop functional prototypes and test procedures.
  • Document technical findings, configurations, and test results.
  • Research emerging electronics technologies for product development opportunities.
  • Recommend and test new components and design improvements.
  • Collaborate with Additive Manufacturing R&D team on integrated products.
  • Coordinate with the After-Sales team to review recurring technical issues, collect customer feedback, and align on product improvements.
  • Support internal teams in building technical documentation and product manuals.
  • Report progress and findings to the Technical Supervisor regularly.
  • Conduct technical trainings, product orientations, seminars, or workshops for internal staff, partners, or clients as needed.
  • Develop basic 3D models for electronics prototyping to support product visualization and design validation.
  • Create software applications or web-based platforms to complement electronics kits for enhanced user experience and functionality.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic circuit design, analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in PCB design software (e.g., Altium, KiCad, Eagle, OrCAD).
  • Familiarity with microcontrollers, sensors, and embedded systems.
  • Basic to intermediate skills in 3D modeling software (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or similar) for electronics prototyping.
  • Ability to develop simple software applications, firmware, or web-based tools (e.g., Python, C/C++, Arduino, JavaScript).
  • At least 0-1 year of experience in electronics R&D, product development, hardware design, or a related technical role. Fresh graduates with strong technical project experience may also be considered.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to learn emerging technologies and contribute innovative ideas.
