We are seeking an experienced Endpoint Security Engineer to manage and enhance the bank's endpoint security infrastructure. In this role, you will configure, maintain, and monitor endpoint protection tools, define system security standards, and support enterprise security projects. You will act as a subject matter expert for endpoint security technologies and contribute to risk management and continuous improvement of the bank's overall security posture.

Key Responsibilities

Endpoint Security Management

  • Configure, manage, and maintain endpoint security tools (e.g., antivirus, EDR, IDS/IPS).
  • Ensure all endpoint systems are securely configured and aligned with best practices.
  • Define, implement, and enforce endpoint security standards and policies, including BYOD and portable devices.

Security Architecture & Projects

  • Support the Security Architect in designing and implementing security strategies and configuration standards.
  • Lead small-scale projects involving endpoint security tool evaluation and deployment.
  • Prepare project documentation, test plans, and system configuration plans.

Risk Assessment & Advisory

  • Provide risk assessment support related to endpoint security for internal security teams (CPSD, SQRD).
  • Identify architecture gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen endpoint security controls.
  • Develop metrics to monitor endpoint security performance and risk levels.

Monitoring & Optimization

  • Regularly review and optimize endpoint configurations and technical controls.
  • Monitor endpoint systems for performance issues, vulnerabilities, and threats.
  • Ensure endpoint solutions effectively prevent, detect, and respond to security incidents.

Documentation & Governance

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of endpoint security systems, configurations, and policies.
  • Prepare business cases for endpoint security projects including hardware/software selection and capacity planning.
  • Participate in vendor evaluations and review vendor performance through VPRC processes.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated security services.
  • Train and support end-users on endpoint security tools and secure practices.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to assess the impact of changes to infrastructure on endpoint security.

Disaster Recovery & Improvement

  • Establish and test disaster recovery strategies for endpoint security tools.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, vulnerabilities, and security trends.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives led by the SAID Head and contribute to GRC activities.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in endpoint security implementation and management.
  • Certifications (Preferred): SANS GIAC, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of endpoint protection tools, IDS/IPS, antivirus systems, and OS platforms (Windows, Linux, Unix).

  • Familiarity with databases, network infrastructure, and integration of endpoint tools.
  • Scripting or automation experience is a plus.

  • Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and risk assessment abilities.

  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Team-oriented, proactive, and capable of leading security initiatives.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and tasks within deadlines.
