Junior Product Owner

As a Junior Product Owner for our core product, you will support the product management team in managing product development from concept to delivery. You'll help define priorities, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to initiatives that drive business impact and enhance user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Product Vision & Strategy Support

  • Assist in defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in collaboration with senior Product Owners and stakeholders.
  • Contribute ideas and insights to help shape product direction and long-term goals.

Backlog Management

  • Support the creation, organization, and refinement of the product backlog.
  • Work with developers and QA to clarify requirements, write user stories, and ensure the backlog is well-prioritized and ready for sprint planning.

Roadmap Contribution

  • Collaborate with senior team members in prioritizing features and tracking roadmap progress.
  • Ensure alignment between product goals, technical feasibility, and business objectives.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Work with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, feedback, and insights.
  • Help manage expectations by keeping teams updated on progress, risks, and timelines.

Team Collaboration

  • Partner closely with developers, designers, and QA testers to ensure smooth execution of product features.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Market & Competitor Research

  • Conduct research and gather user feedback to support product decisions.
  • Identify trends and opportunities for improvement in the product lifecycle.

Learning & Development

  • Participate in training and mentorship programs to enhance product management skills.
  • Support documentation and reporting for process improvement and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in a tech-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps).
  • Understanding of mobile or web application development processes.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from senior product leaders.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) certification is a plus.
