Logistics Steward
We seek a highly detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Data Steward to support our pharmaceutical serialization and traceability operations. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy and completeness of supply chain data, particularly involving serialized product tracking using the GS1 EPCIS standard. While prior EPCIS experience is a plus, we welcome candidates with strong logistics, supply chain, QA, or compliance backgrounds who can learn quickly and communicate effectively.
The Logistics Data Steward will be the go-to person for monitoring EPCIS-related issues, following up with manufacturers and partners on missing or incorrect data, and supporting exception resolution across our internal and external supply chain network. This is not a coding or technical development role, but it does require strong process discipline, communication skills, and attention to detail.
This is a night shift position with a schedule of 9am EST - 6pm EST, Monday - Friday.
Key Responsibilities
• Review exception reports and dashboards to identify missing, delayed, or invalid EPCIS
events (e.g., shipping, receiving, aggregation).
• Follow up with manufacturers, suppliers, and 3PLs on missing EPCIS files or data
discrepancies.
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to support resolution of serialization
issues (e.g., re-scan, re-aggregation).
• Track and maintain an issue log, documenting root causes, resolution steps, and follow-up items.
• Collaborate with IT, compliance, and logistics leads to align on prioritization of issues
and ensure compliance with DSCSA and other traceability standards.
• Support onboarding of new supply chain partners into EPCIS workflows; assist in testing
and file verification.
• Generate weekly reports summarizing outstanding issues, resolutions, and trends.
• Participate in team meetings, process reviews, and compliance improvement efforts.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, quality assurance, compliance, or
operations support roles.
• Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and task tracking.
• Excellent communication skills – especially written follow-ups and escalation clarity.
• Basic understanding of how serialized products are tracked (e.g., lot numbers, barcodes,
shipping docs).
• Familiarity with Excel, CSV files, and basic reporting formats.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a regulated industry (pharma, food, medical device, etc.).
• Exposure to traceability programs or serialization initiatives.
• Familiarity with GS1, EPCIS, or DSCSA is a plus but not required – training will be
provided.
• Experience coordinating with external vendors, suppliers, or manufacturing partners
