Role Purpose
The Benefits Associate Manager is responsible for managing and administering employee benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, cost-effective, compliant with regulations, and supportive of employee engagement and retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and oversee day-to-day operations of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, life insurance, retirement plans, leave management, and wellness initiatives.
- Ensure timely enrollment, updates, and processing of benefits for all employees, coordinating with external providers and internal HR/payroll teams.
- Partner with vendors (e.g., healthcare, insurance, wellness partners) to negotiate, monitor service levels, and resolve issues.
- Provide guidance and assistance to employees on benefits policies, claims, and procedures.
- Monitor benefits utilization, analyze trends, and recommend enhancements to improve employee experience and cost efficiency.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new benefits programs and employee engagement initiatives that align with Company's People & Culture strategy.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, ECC), and company policies.
- Support communication and education campaigns to increase awareness and appreciation of benefits.
- Prepare reports, metrics, and analytics on benefits participation, costs, and ROI to support management decision-making.
- Supervise benefits staff or specialists to ensure efficient and accurate delivery of services.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 5–7 years of HR experience, with strong exposure to benefits administration, preferably in FMCG or large manufacturing companies.
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager role.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine statutory benefits and labor regulations.
- Experience in vendor management and benefits program implementation.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS, MS Excel, and data reporting.
