The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced "Electrical Engineer" to design, develop, and oversee the electrical aspects of our solar PV installation projects. You will be instrumental in ensuring that all systems are designed and built to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

System Design & Engineering:

- Design complete residential and commercial grid-tied and off-grid solar PV systems, including single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams and equipment layouts.

- Perform system sizing, string configuration, voltage drop calculations, and inverter selection based on site assessments and energy needs.

- Select appropriate electrical components (e.g., inverters, optimizers, disconnects, wiring, overcurrent protection) to meet design specifications and budget.

Documentation & Compliance:

- Prepare detailed electrical engineering drawings and specifications for permitting and construction.

- Ensure all designs comply with local National Electrical Code (NEC) "IEEE" and other applicable electrical and building codes and standards.

- Coordinate with utility companies for interconnection agreements and application processes.

Project support & Quality assurance:

-Provide technical support during the installation phase, troubleshooting electrical issues as they arise.

- Conduct site inspections and commissioning tests to verify proper electrical installation and system performance.

- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for electrical installation and safety.

Collaboration:

- Work closely with the sales team, project managers, and installation crews to optimize designs and manage project timelines.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.

Experience:

- 1 to 2 years of professional experience in electrical design, with significant experience specifically in solar PV systems.

Licensure:

- Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) in the Philippines pr equivalent.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) for creating electrical plans.

- Strong knowledge of PV system modeling software (e.g., PVSyst Helioscope is a plus.

- Expert-level understanding of electrical calculations, grounding principles, and circuit protection.

Soft Skills:

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
