Role Purpose

The Finance SME is a key member of the Finance team that ensures accurate and compliant financial reporting through effective management of general ledger activities, project accounting, and fixed asset processes. This role supports business decision-making by delivering timely financial analysis, forecasts, and reports, while maintaining strong internal controls and contributing to continuous improvement through audit support and stakeholder collaboration.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards in posting General Ledger entries (e.g., accruals, deferrals, adjustments, prepayments, cross charges, allocations).
• Meet month-end deadlines with accurate and detailed reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, highlighting key issues and variances for management.
• Conduct financial analysis and forecasting focused on project accounting, including revenue and cost assessments.
• Generate monthly financial reports and respond to ad hoc business requests.
• Review audit findings and implement process and control improvements.
• Serve as the main contact for Fixed Asset Accounting (FAL and FNZ), handling asset creation, capitalization, depreciation, write-offs in SAP, and audit support.

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

• Minimum 4 years of experience in General Accounting, Reporting, Forecasting, and Financial Statement Analysis in a BPO/Shared Services setting.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage
• Strong understanding of Oceania (Australia/New Zealand) and International Accounting Standards.
• Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Blackline) and MS Office tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
