Accounting Associate

Role Summary:

As an Accounting Associate, you are responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting various accounting and administrative functions within an organization.

You're a great fit for our Accounting team if you possess strong documentation skills, excellent attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum educational attainment of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related fields
  • Previous experience on accounting and government agency/tax compliance, preferably in an audit/accounting firm that has worked with local clients
  • Knowledgeable in accounting principles, financial concepts, tax, and other government rulings
  • Proficient in the use of accounting tools and platforms such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Spreadsheets, and government websites such as EFPS, E-BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, and HDMF
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Willing to work in a hybrid work arrangement

What you'll do:

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documents
  • Process accurately the day-to-day transactions of accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Preparation of billing and collection reports
  • Preparation of bank reconciliation reports
  • Assistance on month-end/year-end closing.
  • Assistance on internal and external audit
  • Communicate and coordinate with external parties, such as vendors, government agencies, other professional organizations, and etc.
  • Assistance in compliances related to internal company policies and external requirements of government agencies (such as PEZA, BOI, BIR, and etc.)
  • Support administrative functions
  • Collaborate with internal and external teammates
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives for better operations
  • Perform any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by manager
