CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN

Job Summary:

The Construction Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily construction activities at the site. The role ensures that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to quality standards. The Foreman acts as the link between workers and project management, providing leadership, technical guidance, and hands-on support.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  1. Supervise and coordinate the work of construction workers and subcontractors on site.

  2. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications to guide work execution.

  3. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to schedules and deadlines.

  4. Enforce safety regulations and promote a safe working environment at all times.

  5. Inspect work to ensure compliance with quality standards, building codes, and project specifications.

  6. Coordinate the use of materials, tools, and equipment efficiently to avoid delays and wastage.

  7. Report daily progress, issues, and manpower needs to the Project Engineer or Project Manager.

  8. Resolve site issues, conflicts, or delays quickly and effectively.

  9. Train and mentor workers to improve skills and productivity.

  10. Maintain accurate records of attendance, work done, and materials used.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or in a similar supervisory role.

  2. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.

  3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.

  4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  6. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  7. Physically fit and able to work in demanding site conditions.
