About the role

Airmix Enterprise Construction Incorporated is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team in San Mateo Rizal. As a Safety Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, safety and well-being of our employees and project sites. This full-time position is essential in upholding our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of workplace safety within the construction industry.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments across construction sites to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive safety policies, procedures and training programmes to promote a culture of safety awareness
  • Providing hands-on training and support to employees on safe work practices, the use of personal protective equipment and emergency response protocols
  • Investigating and documenting incidents, accidents and near-misses, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Liaising with regulatory authorities and clients to ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
  • Maintaining detailed records and reports on safety performance metrics and activities
  • Collaborating with project managers and supervisors to integrate safety considerations into project planning and execution

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Thorough understanding of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation, regulations and best practices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and training skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making abilities to identify and address safety issues
  • Proficient in the use of safety management software, risk assessment tools and data analysis techniques
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and committed to continuous improvement in workplace safety
