Job Description

Medical Management & Care Coordination

Patient Assessment

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient injuries and develop tailored care plans that align with legal case requirements.

Care Coordination

  • Coordinate medical care across multiple providers and services—including MRI appointments, physical therapy, and specialist consultations—to maintain consistent, continuous treatment.

Progress Tracking

  • Monitor patient progress, review medical documentation, and update care plans to reflect current health status.

Barrier Resolution

  • Identify and address obstacles to recovery (such as missed appointments or treatment delays) to ensure milestones are met and avoid gaps that may impact the legal case.

Resource Navigation

  • Educate patients on their treatment plans and assist them in navigating available medical resources and support options.

Cost Optimization

  • Ensure efficient use of medical services, minimizing unnecessary costs while maintaining high-quality care for clients.

Qualifications

Medical Background

  • Must have a clinical or healthcare-related background.

U.S. Healthcare Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of U.S. medical terminology and HIPAA regulations, with basic knowledge of medical billing (ICD-10 and CPT codes).

Soft Skills

  • High level of empathy, patience, and professionalism when dealing with injured clients, paired with the assertiveness needed to ensure compliance with treatment plans.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using case management software.

Communication Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, capable of explaining medical concepts to legal professionals and legal processes to patients.
