About the business

A boutique accounting practice providing tax, business advisory and financial planning services seeks the skills of an accountant with excellent organizational and business expertise.

About the role


• Assist with the preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies and trusts


• Manage and enhance customer relationships via email


• Prepare business activity statements via XERO


• Provide management reporting and bookkeeping services as required


• General admin and office work / ad-hoc tasks as necessary


• This is a permanent 4 days per week from home position. Candidates will be expected

to be online from 9am - 5pm Mon-Thur AEST.

Requirements

Skills and experience


• Knowledge of individual taxation issues and problems


• Knowledge of small business tax issues and reporting problems


• Professional written and verbal communication skills


• Ability to work unsupervised, and meet deadlines under pressure


• Excellent workflow & time management skills


• Possess strong problem-solving skills


• Must be able to work well with staff members, result driven and have a high attention to detail


• Liaise with clients and ATO and other government bodies (via online forms and email)


• Knowledge of SAGE-Handisoft, XERO, QUICKBOOKS, MYOB preferred


• University degree in business and/or accounting
