Responsibilities

  • updates layout of manuals, figure sheets, and quick start guides
  • traces existing graphics and 3D drawings
  • assists illustrators
  • creates master pages, paragraph styles, and character styles
  • implements running changes to ensure user manuals are of the latest version
  • designs, typesets, and produces high-quality publications, including manuals, figure sheets, and, quick start guides
  • works with other content developers to understand the publication's purpose and target audience
  • incorporates feedback and direction from internal customers to create custom designs that meet their specific needs
  • uses desktop publishing software to create layouts for publications, incorporating text, graphics, photos, and other elements as needed
  • prepares files for printing or digital distribution, ensuring that all specifications are met
  • proofreads drafts of publications to ensure accuracy and quality
  • coordinates with requesters, publication planner, writer, and other members of the team to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
  • performs other tasks assigned by the manager or direct supervisor

Requirements

  • a graduate of any course
  • at least 2 years relevant experience, preferably in consumer goods
  • experience in designing and developing infographics
  • proficient in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, SolidWorks, and other CAD tools
  • fluent spoken and written English
  • detail oriented and able to multi-task
  • able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • excellent interpersonal, conceptual, and organizational skills
  • strong attention to detail
  • excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability
  • ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • familiarity with standard style guides
  • experience in web design and HTML coding, preferable
  • working knowledge of content management systems, preferable
  • proofreading and editing experience, preferable
