POSITION: SAFETY OFFICER (SO3)

Looking for a Safety Officer III (SO3) to oversee the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) programs at our construction project. The SO3 will be responsible for monitoring compliance with DOLE-DO 198-18, conducting inspections, facilitating safety training, and ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor company safety policies in compliance with DOLE OSH standards
  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings and regular site inspections
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective/preventive measures
  • Investigate accidents/incidents and prepare corresponding reports
  • Coordinate with DOLE/OSHC for compliance and required submissions
  • Maintain updated safety files and documentation (permits, clearances, reports)
  • Conduct safety training and orientation for workers and subcontractors
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and enforcement of safety regulations on site
  • Work closely with Project Manager, Engineers, and Safety Team for hazard control

Qualifications

  • Must be a Certified Safety Officer 3 (SO3) as required under DOLE-DO 198-18
  • Completed the 160-hour Advanced OSH Training
  • With at least 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction projects
  • Knowledgeable in DOLE reporting requirements (WAIR, Work Accident/Illness Report, etc.)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Physically fit and able to conduct site inspections regularly

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php22, Php28,000.00 per month
