Job Summary:

The Data Product Owner is responsible in leading and shaping and executing the product strategy for data driven solutions at Kayana Solutions Inc. This role will drive the development of innovative data products, ensuring alignment with business objectives, user needs, and regulatory requirements. This is a high-impact role where you will manage a cross-functional team, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and influence the future direction of the company's data products.

: Own the product strategy and vision for data-related solutions, ensuring they align with the company's objectives in the fintech and AI space.

: Ensure that data products meet customer needs and provide actionable insights, driving user satisfaction and business value.

: Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data management, AI, and fintech to identify opportunities for innovation.

Product Roadmap & Prioritization
: Develop and manage the product roadmap, prioritizing features and initiatives based on business needs, customer feedback, and data-driven insights.

Team Leadership
: Lead cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and designers, to successfully build and launch data products.

Stakeholder Collaboration
: Collaborate closely with senior leadership, business units, and technical teams to ensure product alignment with organizational goals.

: Champion the use of data and analytics to inform product decisions, driving innovation and continuous improvement.

Compliance & Risk Management
: Ensure all data products comply with relevant regulations, such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and other data privacy standards, particularly in the fintech sector.

Profit & Loss Management
: Own the product's P&L by driving revenue growth, managing costs, defining pricing strategies, and ensuring overall profitability through data-informed decision-making and strategic planning.

KPI Management
: Define and track key product performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of data product strategy, market fit, financial success and inform future product iterations.

Qualifications:

• Significant experience in product management, preferably in the fintech, AI, or data-driven sectors.

• Strong track record of developing and managing successful data products from ideation to delivery.

• Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior leadership.

• Deep understanding of data architecture, governance, and privacy regulations.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities.

• Experience in managing AI/ML-based data products.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).

• MBA or equivalent advanced business qualification.

• Experience working in a highly regulated industry, particularly fintech or healthcare.

Education / Certifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Master's degree in Marketing Technology or Digital Business is an advantage.

• Agile Product Owner certification (e.g., CSPO, SAFe PO/PM) preferred.

• Certifications in data platforms (e.g., Cloud, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS) are a plus.
