JOB SUMMARY:

The Purchaser is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services required by the company. This role ensures that all purchases are cost-effective, delivered on time, and meet quality standards, while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Procurement and Sourcing

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers/vendors.
  • Request and review quotations, bids, and proposals.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Place purchase orders in accordance with company policies and approved requisitions.

2. Vendor Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues such as delays, shortages, or discrepancies.

3. Inventory and Cost Control

  • Coordinate with the warehouse and other departments to ensure timely supply of materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment.
  • Seek cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

4. Documentation and Compliance

  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and government regulations.
  • Prepare reports on procurement activities and cost analysis.

5. Coordination and Communication

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and department heads to identify material requirements.
  • Provide updates on order status, delivery schedules, and potential issues.
  • Assist in resolving discrepancies between purchase orders, deliveries, and invoices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of purchasing/procurement experience (preferably in construction, engineering, or manufacturing industry).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and procurement software.
  • Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php14, Php15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Pasay City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
