Job Purpose:

Manage the Collections Portfolio across all consumer products of the Bank by providing clear directions and strategies to ensure that the team targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction to all collection and recovery activities done by the team
  • Develop different collections strategies to ensure achievement of delinquency, flow rates, and recovery targets
  • Ensure that the team is on track with the goals set by the Bank
  • Communicate the goals and directions clearly and effectively to the team
  • Develop different policies that will help mitigate the delinquencies for all buckets
  • Work hand in hand with the collection officers in setting the KPIs and monthly targets for the Collections Analysts
  • Drive team productivity and effectivity to improve performance
  • Create a harmonious working environment for the team
  • Source and accredit qualified collection agencies that will help in the recovery efforts
  • Establish good relationship with Accredited collections agency & Partners
  • Represent the bank in external associations or groups as needed.
  • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management from time to time.
  • Update and ensure all Collections SOP are up to date
  • Ensure all tickets across Collections are within TAT

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree relevant to the role
  • Preferably 10 years work experience in Collections, ideally with Unit head or Collections head experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong analytical, technical, communication, and people management skills
  • With keen attention to details
  • Self-driven and with strong sense of urgency
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications JOB DESCRIPTION Competencies/Skills
