As part of our continued growth in Asia, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Scheduler to join our construction management team in the Philippines.
This position is part of our consultancy management services team, which supports COVA's projects across Southeast Asia. It is crucial in ensuring efficient and accurate project administration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Schedule Development
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
Collaborate with project managers and contractors to define activities, milestones, and deliverables.
Develop and structure Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for effective site monitoring.
Illustrate network logic diagrams, including activity dependencies and float analysis.
Set and align project timelines and deadlines with project objectives.
2. Progress Monitoring
Monitor actual progress against baseline schedules and identify deviations.
Conduct earned value analysis (EVA), including CPI and SPI reporting.
Perform Time Impact Analyses (TIA) for delay assessments and schedule risk evaluation.
Update project schedules to reflect changes, progress, and scope modifications.
Conduct critical path analysis to detect bottlenecks and advise on corrective actions.
3. Reporting and Communication
Generate regular and ad-hoc schedule reports for stakeholders, including clients and senior management.
Effectively communicate schedule updates and changes across all relevant parties.
Attend and contribute to project and coordination meetings.
Recommend actions to address delays and improve schedule performance.
4. Risk Management
Participate in project risk reviews with a focus on schedule-related risks.
Proactively identify scheduling issues and collaborate with teams to mitigate delays.
Support resolution of schedule conflicts to maintain project timelines.
5. Documentation and Compliance
Maintain accurate and compliant scheduling documentation per contractual and regulatory standards.
Record schedule updates, delay logs, and impact assessments.
Align scheduling practices with the company's Integrated Management System (IMS).
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Project Management or Engineering
Minimum 7 years experience in construction industry
Certification in project scheduling (ie PMI-SP)
Risk Management qualification or experience
High level proficiency of Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel platforms
Excellent writing and strong communication skills with attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and to work effectively in a team environment.
