Position Overview

The Scheduler is responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely execution and completion of activities. This role involves close coordination with project managers, engineers, procurement, and other departments to track progress, forecast timelines, and identify potential delays or resource constraints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Coordinate with project teams to gather progress data, forecast project timelines, and update schedules accordingly.
  • Identify and highlight critical paths, potential delays, and areas requiring corrective action.
  • Prepare and issue weekly and monthly progress reports, including schedule performance metrics (e.g., SPI, CPI).
  • Support project management in developing recovery plans to address schedule deviations.
  • Integrate procurement, engineering, and construction activities into a unified project schedule.
  • Conduct schedule analysis, including "what-if" scenarios and impact assessments of scope or resource changes.
  • Ensure compliance with company and client scheduling standards and reporting requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide schedule insights for decision-making.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably in [construction / oil & gas / infrastructure / engineering projects].
  • Proficient in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and project controls principles is an advantage.
