II JOB SUMMARY

The CAD Team Member is responsible for preparing accurate drawings and documentation to support the design, manufacture, and installation of products. Working under the direction of the CAD Leading Hand, this role ensures drafting tasks are completed on time, to a high standard, and in line with project requirements. The CAD Team Member contributes to the smooth delivery of projects by maintaining strong attention to detail, adhering to established processes, and collaborating closely with the wider team.

III WHAT YOU'LL DO

Drafting & Documentation

· Prepare CAD drawings, shop drawings, and technical details as directed.

· Ensure all drawings are accurate, complete, and aligned with project specifications.

· Update and revise drawings as required by project changes or feedback.

· Maintain consistency with company CAD standards, templates, and formatting.

Collaboration & Support

· Work closely with the CAD Leading Hand and other team members to prioritise and deliver tasks.

· Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, and Production staff to clarify drawing requirements.

· Seek guidance when issues or uncertainties arise to minimise delays.

Quality & Compliance

· Follow established CAD drafting procedures and standards.

· Ensure work complies with relevant building codes, regulations, and Supawood's quality requirements.

· Contribute to a safe and collaborative working environment.

Continuous Improvement

· Participate in training and development to build CAD skills and knowledge.

· Suggest improvements to processes, templates, or workflows where applicable.

· Stay up to date with changes in CAD software and drafting practices.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

· Accuracy and completeness of drafting outputs.

· Timely completion of assigned tasks.

· Compliance with Supawood CAD standards and quality requirements.

· Contribution to team productivity and positive working relationships.

IV REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate or Diploma in Drafting, Design, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Rhino (other CAD software experience highly regarded).
• Understanding of construction drawings, manufacturing details, and building methods.
• Experience in architectural, construction, or manufacturing environments (preferred but not essential).
