Junior Developer

We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior Developers to join our team and support our client in the education and training space. This position is open to fresh graduates who are eager to start their career in software development and gain hands-on experience in real-world projects. To be successful in this role, you must have the following:

Essential Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with an emphasis on software development

Skills and Attributes

  • Experience in Low Code Platforms (GeneXus an advantage)
  • Solid understanding of the Java programming language
  • Proficiency in MySQL for database management and querying
  • Experience with front-end web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Familiarity with developing and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly

Desirable

  • Knowledge of SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model)
  • Understanding of xAPI (Experience API / Tin Can API)
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Learning Record Stores (LRS)
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git)
  • Familiarity with AWS hosting environments
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies

Some of the activities you will be involved in will include:

Software Development & Maintenance

  • Collaborate with developers and other team members to define, design, and deliver new features
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to process improvement
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Collaborate with developers and other team members to define, design, and deliver new features

Project & Process Management

  • Contribute to planning and documentation of technical solutions
