The Delivery Helper assists the Delivery Driver in loading, unloading, and transporting goods to customers efficiently and safely. They ensure accurate deliveries, handle products with care, and provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities: Loading & Unloading:

  • Assist in loading and securing products onto the delivery vehicle.
  • Unload goods at designated locations, ensuring safe handling.
  • Verify that items match the delivery manifest before departure.

Delivery Support:

  • Assist the driver in navigating routes and ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Help transport goods from the vehicle to the customer's location.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling fragile or heavy items.

Customer Service:

  • Communicate politely with customers upon delivery.
  • Obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery when required.
  • Address basic customer inquiries or direct them to the appropriate personnel.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow safety guidelines when handling and transporting goods.
  • Ensure proper lifting techniques and use of equipment (e.g., hand trucks).
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.

Other Duties:

  • Assist with warehouse tasks when not on delivery runs.
  • Report any issues or damages to the driver or supervisor.
  • Support inventory checks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Prior experience in delivery or warehouse work (a plus but not required).
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Punctual and reliable.

Working Conditions:

  • May work in various weather conditions.
  • Early morning or late-night shifts may be required.
  • Requires physical stamina for lifting, carrying, and walking.
