Role Overview

The Client is a leading manufacturer and distributor of specialty building materials based in Houston, TX, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Webmaster. This role is pivotal to our marketing strategy, which is focused entirely on lead generation.

The Webmaster will be responsible for the maintenance, performance, and optimization of our primary website, , and a portfolio of approximately eight niche product websites. This is a full-time, long-term position, and the successful candidate is expected to treat this role as their sole full-time employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Website Management & Maintenance:

  • Oversee all technical aspects of multiple WordPress websites, ensuring optimal performance, security, and uptime.

  • Perform regular updates, backups, and maintenance on themes, plugins, and core WordPress installations.

  • Performance Optimization (SEO & CRO):

  • Drive lead generation through continuous Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) efforts.

  • Conduct technical SEO audits and implement strategies to improve site speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall search rankings.
  • Actively learn and implement strategies related to Geo-targeting (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) to expand reach.

  • Design, implement, and analyze A/B tests to continuously improve conversion rates on key landing pages and forms.

  • Technical Hosting & Infrastructure:

  • Manage and maintain website hosting environments, including direct Server and DNS management.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve server-side and technical issues quickly and effectively.

  • Reporting & Analysis:

  • Detailed reporting it critical to this role to ensure success

  • Generate and present detailed weekly and monthly reports on website performance, SEO health, conversion metrics, and lead generation effectiveness.

  • Use analytics tools to monitor traffic, user behavior, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to inform optimization strategies.

  • Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the marketing team (and an upcoming Social/Content Manager) to ensure web strategies align with overall business goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven, hands-on experience managing and developing WordPress websites in a professional capacity.
  • Expertise in driving marketing goals through SEO and a solid understanding of current search engine algorithms and best practices.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of CRO principles and experience in implementing website changes that increase lead volume.
  • Strong technical skills in website hosting, including direct experience with Server and DNS management.
  • Proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console) and generating detailed performance reports.
