Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support mechanical engineering works for fit-out and building projects. The successful candidate will assist in preparing shop drawings, as-built plans, cost estimates, and project documentation for Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MPF) systems.

The role involves reviewing plans, conducting site inspections, quantifying materials and manpower, and coordinating closely with the project team to ensure smooth project execution from pre-construction to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare as-built plans for Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MPF) systems
  • Review mechanical plans and drawings thoroughly prior to implementation
  • Conduct site visits and ocular inspections to verify actual site conditions
  • Quantify MPF materials and labor requirements
  • Prepare manpower loading schedules and work programs
  • Assist in preparing Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) from initial stage to project completion
  • Support pre-construction and construction activities
  • Coordinate with the project team and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assist in preparing shop drawings and technical submissions
  • Monitor installation works and ensure compliance with approved plans
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors as required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Licensed Mechanical Engineer is an advantage (but not required)
  • 1–3 years experience in construction, fit-out, or related field
  • Exposure to mid-rise or high-rise building projects is an advantage
  • Experience in pre-construction and construction phases

– Plumbing shop drawings

  • Knowledge in:

– Fit-out construction

– MPF systems

– BOM and BOQ preparation

  • Ability to quantify:

– Materials

– Project schedules

  • Strong plan reading and interpretation skills
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Willingness to do site work and field assignments
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Team player with proactive attitude

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php25, Php30,000.00 per month
