Job Summary:

The Stockman – Commissary Team is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and issuing food products, ingredients, packaging materials, and kitchen supplies in the commissary. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient inventory management and ensuring all production areas are well-stocked and operating smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

*Receive deliveries of food items, ingredients, and supplies, checking for accuracy and quality.

*Unload, sort, and organize products in designated storage areas (dry, refrigerated, and frozen).

*Maintain accurate records of received and issued stock using inventory tracking systems or logs.

*Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO – First In, First Out) to prevent spoilage and waste.

*Restock kitchen and production areas with necessary supplies in a timely manner.

*Keep storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with food safety and sanitation standards.

*Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of low inventory or potential shortages.

*Assist with monthly inventory counts and reporting.

*Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently.

Qualifications:

*Previous experience in stockroom, warehouse, or inventory handling preferred (especially in a food service or commissary environment).

*Basic knowledge of food storage procedures (frozen, refrigerated, and dry goods).

*Ability to read and understand packing slips, invoices, and inventory documents.

*Good physical condition; able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks that involve bending, standing, and reaching.

*Familiarity with basic inventory systems or willingness to learn.

Preferred Skills:

*Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.

*Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

*Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
