Position Overview

As a member of the Front of House (FOH) team at our speakeasy bar, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming, discreet, and memorable experience. FOH staff embody the unique character of our bar—professional yet approachable, attentive yet subtle. You will play a critical role in creating an intimate and exclusive atmosphere for our clientele.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Reception & Service
  • Warmly welcome guests and discreetly guide them into the speakeasy experience.
  • Manage reservations, guest lists, and door protocols to maintain exclusivity.
  • Provide table service: take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure accurate billing.
  • Atmosphere & Experience
  • Uphold the bar's unique concept, theme, and ambiance.
  • Engage with guests in a professional yet friendly manner, adapting tone and style to fit the speakeasy vibe.
  • Ensure music, lighting, and seating arrangements enhance guest comfort.
  • Operational Duties
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, dining, and lounge areas.
  • Assist in restocking supplies and coordinating with the back-of-house team.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and handle feedback or concerns promptly and courteously.
  • Compliance & Safety
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Adhere to responsible alcohol service policies and handle difficult situations (e.g., intoxicated guests) appropriately.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in hospitality, bartending, or customer service (bar/lounge experience preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or fast-paced settings.
  • Flexibility to work late nights, weekends, and holidays.
