As former key members of the renowned litigation and dispute resolution department of Villaraza & Angangco, our team has honed its craft across a wide range of legal forums, including the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Trial Courts, Sandiganbayan, independent constitutional bodies (such as the COMELEC and COA), quasi-judicial agencies, and arbitral tribunals—both local and international. This breadth of experience has allowed us to develop a deep and nuanced understanding of the legal landscape, positioning us as formidable advocates.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle legal matters under the supervision of senior partners and managing lawyers
- Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, affidavits, contracts, and legal opinions
- Represent clients before courts, quasi-judicial agencies, and administrative bodies, when authorized
- Assist in litigation preparation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, and trial support
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents
- Attend hearings, conferences, mediations, and client meetings
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with procedural and ethical requirements
- Provide timely legal advice to clients and internal stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) in good standing
- Newly admitted lawyers or those with [0–3] years of experience are welcome to apply
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in English; Filipino proficiency is an advantage
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Familiarity with Philippine court procedures and rules (Rules of Court, special rules)
- Ability to draft pleadings, contracts, and legal memoranda with minimal supervision
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases
- Experience appearing before courts or government agencies is an advantage
