About the role

Yinshan Lending Inc. is seeking a skilled Corporate Lawyer (Legal Compliance Officer) to join their growing legal team in Makati City Metro Manila. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the organisation's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

What you'll be doing

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conduct daily company contract reviews, including contracts with vendors, suppliers, and users.

2. Ensure the company's on-time filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), National Privacy Commission (NPC), and other relevant regulatory bodies.

  1. Ensure the company's compliance with applicable Philippine regulatory compliance matters, working with regulators such as the SEC, Philippine Finance Association, Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC), NPC, BSP, and others.

4. Stay updated with laws and regulations that could impact the company's operations, both internally and externally.

  1. Perform routine checks to ensure the company's adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

6. Monitor the issuance of laws and regulations by government agencies like the SEC, NPC, BSP, etc., and circulate these updates to relevant business units.

7. Coordinate with external auditors and examiners during regulatory compliance examinations, addressing queries, findings, and recommendations in collaboration with relevant departments and process owners.

8. Perform periodic audits on company procedures and processes to ensure compliance. 9. Lead employee training sessions on legal and compliance matters.

10. Conduct required seminars and training sessions for covered institutions, such as those mandated under the Anti-Money Laundering Act and the Data Privacy Act.

  1. Act as the company's Corporate Secretary, Data Protection Officer (DPO), and Compliance Officer.

What we're looking for

  1. Qualified lawyer with 3+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally gained within
  2. Extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, including drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts
  3. Strong understanding of relevant laws, regulations and industry standards applicable to the online lending industry
  4. Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. Proactive, detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work
