Purpose of the Role

As a Business Information Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the organization against security threats, fraud, and privacy breaches. You will proactively identify, assess, and manage risks impacting business operations, while collaborating with cross-functional teams including GSOC, Anti-Fraud, customer-facing departments, and technical development teams. Your expertise will contribute directly to the organization's resilience and security posture.


In this role you'll:

Security Operations & Incident Management

  • Act as Security Incident Manager (SIM) for TRD, coordinating incident response and analysis.
  • Provide consultancy to business units during the incident lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with GSOC and Anti-Fraud teams for incident reporting and resolution.

Risk Management & Governance

  • Identify, assess, and monitor business risks using Archer.
  • Track remediation plans and risk exception requests.
  • Produce quarterly risk reports and dashboards across TRD domains.

Security Deployment & Technical Oversight

  • Coordinate deployment of security features (e.g., DMARC, SDL, MFA, Host Security).
  • Oversee governance of regional developments and solution migrations.
  • Support PNR security initiatives and secure application lifecycle practices.

Audit, Assessment & Compliance

  • Respond to RFPs and customer security questionnaires.
  • Support third-party and partner security assessments.
  • Advise on security policies, procedures, and technical implementations.

Insurance & Business Resilience

  • Manage insurance claims and policy renewals.
  • Quantify potential losses and support deployment of insurance tools.
  • Maintain TRD Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework.
  • Coordinate business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement & Representation

  • Serve as a domain expert in technical and/or functional business security.
  • Provide guidance to customer-facing teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Support other BISO pillars (e.g., audit analysis, pen test reviews).

About the ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.

  • Certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CISM are a plus.

  • 2–5 years in information security, risk management, or business continuity.

  • Experience in travel industry (GDS, airline, travel agency) is advantageous.

  • Strong understanding of networks, IP addressing, firewalls, proxies, SIEMs.

  • Familiarity with IAM, authentication models, and web security protocols.
  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows/Linux/Mac) and command-line tools.

  • Development background in modern programming languages.

  • Risk management frameworks (ISO 27001, COSO, COBIT5, FAIR).

  • Business continuity frameworks (ISO 22301, BCI GPG).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.
