Role Description

  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Manage and monitor the general ledger and ensure accurate posting of financial transactions.
  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate accounting policies.
  • Support preparation of financial statements and internal reports.
  • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
  • Coordinate with other departments for cross-functional accounting needs (e.g., accounts payable, payroll, tax).
  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and performance evaluations to team members.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • High attention to detail and integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years in accounting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
