Responsibilities:

  • Test key controls from a First Line of Defense perspective, following the company's global procedures and SOX guidelines.
  • Check if everything needed for testing is ready—like test plans and risk details—by coordinating with the main contact person (SPOC).
  • Learn how different processes work by doing walkthroughs of financial, operational, and compliance activities.
  • Review whether controls are well-designed and working effectively to meet standards and regulations like SOx, GDPR, and ISAE.
  • Track and report the progress of your testing to control owners and SPOCs.
  • Write clear documentation of your test results, suggest improvements, and explain any risks or issues you find.
  • Manage the testing process from start to finish, following the company's policies and planning timelines.
  • Identify areas where processes can be improved and share your ideas to make things more efficient or add helpful controls.
  • Handle challenges by clearly explaining the situation and escalating when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Has at least 2 years of experience in internal or external audit.
  • Understands risk and control concepts well.
  • Familiar with SOx and financial compliance frameworks and controls (AMLA, RFIS, etc) related to financial reporting, disclosures, end-user computing, banking products (wholesale and retail)
  • Familiar with advanced tools like Power Automate and Power BI—this is a plus.
  • Having a CIA or CPA certification is an advantage
