About the Team & Business Line:

As a core member of our Security team you will work with dedicated professionals to ensure our clients maintain access to their critical information assets while keeping Citco ahead of industry trends.

Position Description: 

The Junior Security Administrator assists with the day-to-day administration and maintenance of Citco's information security systems, including supporting the Information Security Management System (ISMS) and enterprise security tools.  This role provides technical support, helps maintain security controls, and contributes to compliance and documentation efforts.

Organizational Relations:

This position is part of the IT Security group, responsible for safeguarding Citco's information systems and supporting the overall security posture of the organization.

Your Role: 

Security Systems Administration

• Assist in monitoring, maintaining, and supporting security infrastructure, including next-generation firewalls, endpoint protection, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
• Support business continuity processes (e.g., backups, replication) by assisting with documentation and testing of infrastructure.
• Perform basic troubleshooting for security tools and escalate issues as needed.

Compliance & Documentation

• Assist with security assessments, audits, and compliance activities.
• Help compile reports on security control effectiveness, KPIs, and potential risks or threats.
• Document system configurations, security procedures, and operating instructions.

Operational Support

• Provide support to the Service Desk team for client-side security issues.
• Help promote security awareness initiatives across the organization.
• Maintain accurate records of IT security assets and assist with procurement in line with company policy.
• Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve security-related issues.

Projects & Continuous Improvement

• Participate in security-related projects, ensuring documentation and deliverables are completed on time.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve security processes, tools, and workflows.

Participate in an out-of-hours support rotation when required.

About You:

• 1–2 years of experience in IT or information security (internships or equivalent experience considered).
• Basic understanding of networking and security technologies.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft technology stack (Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to learn new technologies.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ITIL principles is an advantage.
• Preferred Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Fundamentals, or equivalent.
