Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with strong hands-on experience in Xero to manage the day-to-day financial records of our cafe operations. This role is responsible for accurate transaction recording, reconciliations, and maintaining clean, Xero-ready books to support management reporting and accounting compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Daily & Weekly

  • Record daily sales from POS systems, delivery platforms, and manual transactions directly into Xero
  • Encode supplier bills, expenses, and petty cash in Xero
  • Perform bank, GCash, and e-wallet reconciliations using Xero's bank reconciliation tools
  • Monitor and update accounts payable and accounts receivable in Xero
  • Ensure proper tagging of expenses to correct accounts and branches

Monthly

  • Prepare monthly expense summaries and cash flow reports from Xero
  • Assist in month-end closing, including accruals and inventory-related entries
  • Reconcile inventory costs with purchasing and stock reports
  • Support preparation of management reports (P&L, expense analysis)

Compliance & Coordination

  • Maintain organized digital records (receipts, invoices, ORs) linked to Xero entries
  • Coordinate with external accountants by providing clean Xero files for tax filing and audits
  • Flag discrepancies, unusual variances, or missing transactions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • At least 1 year of hands-on bookkeeping experience using Xero
  • Strong proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
  • Experience handling multi-branch or retail / F&B accounts is a strong advantage
  • Basic knowledge of VAT and withholding taxes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php20,000.00 per month
