DIRECTLY REPORTS TO:

Accounting Manager

MAIN AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:

The Accounting Associate position is responsible for processing payroll bookkeeping and handling Accounts Payable functions. Prepares finance and accounting documents in a timely manner.

 

TASKS:

  • Process accounts and payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
  • Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits
  • Handle purchasing process
  • Generate reports detailing accounts payable status
  • Prepare weekly disbursements to employees and suppliers
  • Journalize and post to Xero/NetSuite of daily transactions
  • Responsible in managing and documenting of files
  • Other tasks as may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS | COMPETENCIES:

  • Must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance or Accountancy
  • With 3-5 years of experience in Finance or related functions
  • Experience in bookkeeping or Accounts Payable (at least 1 year) is an advantage
  • With 3 year experience in payroll entries, annualization, and tax processing
  • Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite, and skilled in Microsoft Excel
  • Organized, detail-oriented, a team player, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Must possess a dynamic personality and strong attention to detail
  • Willing to work on a hybrid set-up (combination of work-from-home and on-site work)
