Responsibilities:

1. Scheme & Detailed Design: Directly perform and take ownership of all civil/structural design works for the project, including but not limited to: site grading, roads and drainage systems, foundation design for PV mounting structures, foundations for inverters/transformers and other equipment, and structural design for substation buildings.

2. Structural Analysis & Calculations: Independently use specialized software to conduct load calculations, structural analysis, and member design for all critical structures. You will ensure all designs comply with local Philippine standards for wind, seismic, and other loads, and will prepare comprehensive calculation reports.

3. Drawing Production & Management: Organize or personally complete the full set of civil/structural construction drawings and prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ).

4. Design Optimization: Conduct techno-economic comparisons of different design options, continuously optimizing the solution to control costs and enhance constructability while ensuring ultimate safety and compliance.

5. Design Briefing: As the responsible design engineer, you will provide the most direct and authoritative technical briefings to the project management and construction teams.

6. On-Site Problem Resolution: When technical challenges related to the design arise during construction, or when site conditions differ from design assumptions, you will be the final decision-maker, responsible for providing solutions and rapidly executing any necessary design changes or technical clarifications.

7. Technical Compliance Review: Review detailed shop drawings, specific method statements, and other technical submittals from subcontractors or suppliers to ensure they are fully compliant with your original design intent and specifications.

8. As-Built & Handover Support: Assist the project team in the preparation of as-built drawings and support the final acceptance and handover process.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Must be a licensed/Registered Civil Engineer with a valid certificate from the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

2. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on civil/structural design experience, with a proven track record of independently undertaking and completing full project designs within an EPC company or a dedicated engineering design firm. Demonstrated experience in designing ground-mounted solar plants or similar energy/industrial projects is highly preferred. Some experience in providing on-site technical support, showing an understanding of the link between theoretical design and practical construction.

3. Expert proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing production and the ability to independently use at least one structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS) for modeling and calculation.

4. Deep and practical understanding of the National Building Code of the Philippines (NBCP) and related design standards.
