Job Title: Software Packaging Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Packaging Engineer to lead enterprise deployment initiatives and manage software packaging activities. This role involves working closely with IT teams, vendors, and business units to ensure seamless rollout and support of software across retail and backstage environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate enterprise software deployment projects

  • Review and approve installation plans and documentation

  • Collaborate with IT departments and vendors on rollout activities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, deployment timelines, and support documentation

  • Interface with systems teams for testing, piloting, and installation

  • Define and manage release schedules and deployment calendars

  • Identify and mitigate deployment risks

  • Create training materials and deployment strategies for complex rollouts

  • Manage deployment-related documentation and reporting

  • Handle ad-hoc deployment requests and participate in peer reviews

  • Oversee all Windows deployments and ensure quality control

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field

  • 4+ years of experience in software packaging, automation, and deployment

  • Proficiency in tools such as MS Intune, SCCM, RADIA, Flexera Admin Studio, and PowerShell

  • Experience converting packages from RADIA to MS Intune

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Registry, file structures, and Group Policy

  • Familiarity with Azure AD, Hybrid AD environments, and remote software development

  • Understanding of field services and hardware/software deployment

  • Experience with project management tools (MS Project, Visio, Agile, SDLC)

  • Strong planning, risk assessment, and documentation skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Ability to collaborate across business and IT teams

  • Customer service-oriented with a proactive approach

  • Working knowledge of ITSM tools like ServiceNow
