Role Title: Packaging Development Assistant (Fixed Term Contract for 6 months)

Job Overview:

The position will handle packaging qualifications on new designs, which will require machine testing, data analysis, and technical write-up. The role also involves cross-functional collaboration with R&D product developers, marketing, supply chain, and suppliers.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Packaging Development + Commercialisation

  • Collaborate with project initiator to define and align project objectives and expectations.
  • Brief and lead technical discussions with suppliers.
  • Conduct design reviews through laboratory testing and machine trials.
  • Perform analytical testing based on material types/substrates and supply chain conditions.

Documentation

  • Create and publish comprehensive packaging specifications into the system, including Mechanical Drawings and Process Instructions, and share relevant information with partners such as Suppliers, R&D, Marketing, and Supply Chain.
  • Work with procurement to obtain cost estimates for new packaging materials by providing necessary specifications and information.
  • Ensure packaging-related risks and key decisions are proactively documented in technical reports, with clear and timely communication.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

  • BS in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or Packaging Engineering with 1-2 years of Packaging Development experience.
  • Able to commit to a 6-month fixed-term contract.
  • Willing to be based in Mandaluyong, Pasig.
