Packaging Specialist Role Available

Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Packaging specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate design standards and approval process for packaging work scopes based on construction specifications and requirements, considering cost, quality, health, safety and environmental factors.
  • Manage the feasibility stage of projects by collaborating with different functions to achieve a holistic approach to scope, timelines and budget.
  • Perform packaging design analysis and calculations according to project requirements, coordinate all packaging requirements with process, civil, mechanical, and electrical teams, drive the correct and timely design and awarding of different scopes, and recommend corrective actions for design issues.
  • Interface with project packaging suppliers, ensuring correct, timely and cost-effective tendering of approved packaging scope packages.
  • Support the team in managing committed timelines for design scopes of assigned projects, driving completion of project requirements.
  • Incorporate various established safety and permit compliance strategies to the various packaging work scopes being tendered and awarded.
  • Prepare and provide necessary reports for proper monitoring of the progress of projects in terms of pre-project requirements, design, tendering and awarding.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate degree in BS Packaging, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in packaging lines.
  • Mathematical and engineering acuity, knowledgeable on 3-5 packaging lines, understanding of engineering concepts, strong process design skills, good project management skills.
