Overview
The Pre-Sales Consultant plays a key role in supporting the sales cycle by providing technical and functional expertise on SAP solutions. This role bridges the gap between client business needs and the technical capabilities of SAP, helping position the right solutions and ensuring client confidence throughout the sales journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sales Managers to understand client requirements and propose suitable SAP solutions.
- Conduct solution demonstrations, workshops, and proof of concepts for clients.
- Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
- Translate business challenges into SAP solution benefits and ROI.
- Partner with SAP and internal teams to design end-to-end solutions.
- Stay updated on SAP technologies, product roadmaps, and industry best practices.
- Support RFP/RFI responses with detailed solution descriptions and architecture.
- Ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to delivery teams post-contract signing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field.
- 3–5+ years experience in SAP pre-sales, consulting, or solution architecture.
- Strong knowledge of SAP modules (S/4HANA, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Business One, etc.).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client engagement skills.
- Ability to work closely with sales teams and technical consultants.
- Strong problem-solving and consultative selling approach.
