Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and service-oriented Duty Manager to oversee daily hotel operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The Duty Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring that Front Office shifts run smoothly, supporting staff, and maintaining a calm, professional, and efficient environment at all times. This role also oversees property safety, security procedures, and guest-related concerns while coordinating closely with department heads and management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily Front Office operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Assist and guide Front Office staff in handling guest requests, concerns, and escalations.
  • Ensure excellent guest service standards and promote a positive guest experience.
  • Monitor safety and security procedures around the hotel premises.
  • Coordinate with other managers and department heads regarding operational needs.
  • Handle emergencies, incidents, or disturbances calmly and professionally.
  • Ensure proper documentation of incidents, guest concerns, and operational issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections of public areas, facilities, and staff performance.
  • Serve as the Manager-on-Duty and represent hotel management during assigned shifts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or any business-related course.
  • 1–2 years of experience as a Duty Manager, or
  • 2–3 years of experience as a Front Office Supervisor or similar supervisory role in hotel operations.
  • Knowledge of Hotel Reservation Systems (e.g., Opera, Fidelio, IFCA, or similar).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent guest-relations and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies calmly.
  • Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
