We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Staff - Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable (AR/AP staff) to join our dynamic accounting team. As an AR/AP Executive, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable and payable functions, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The Company

Founded in 2015, Hutchison-1 Logistics is an offshoot of A. B. Gambayan Customs Brokerage from years 2008 to 2013.

In 2018, Hutchison-1 merged with 1Trade Logistics, Inc., a customs brokerage firm and FCL trucking service provider established in 2013.

By 2019, Hutchison-1 expanded its services to include international and domestic air and ocean freight forwarding.

Minimum Qualifications for the Position

  • A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Financial Management, or any related course.
  • Familiar with fundamental accounting principles.
  • With two to three years' experience in accounting and/or related positions (preferred but not required).
  • A Certified Public Accountant (preferred but not required).
  • With expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Able to work independently and with a team.
  • Possessing strong communication and interpersonal skills with proficiency in writing and speaking English.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviews client information, perform account reconciliation, identify discrepancies, and ensure accounts are billed correctly.
  • Ensures that all billing statements are gathered, recorded, and monitored.
  • Performs fundamental duties such as filing, data entry, recording, and statement processing.
  • Coordinates with clients to notify them of their overdue balances and develop new, more favorable repayment terms.
  • Generates collection reports.
  • Maintains the accounts receivable ledger.
  • Continually enhances the collection process.
  • Assists in financial report analysis.
  • Receives, investigates, and resolves internal and external routine inquiries regarding account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to the appropriate individuals.
  • Performs all other tasks that may be assigned by the management.
