Job Summary:

The Water Bottling Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations within the bottled water production facility. This includes managing production, quality control, staff, equipment maintenance, logistics, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. The manager ensures efficient production of high-quality bottled water that meets company and regulatory standards while optimizing costs and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily bottling plant operations.
  • Ensure smooth workflow from water treatment, bottling, labeling, packaging, and distribution.
  • Monitor production schedules to meet targets and customer demands.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies for efficiency and waste reduction.
  • Maintain strict adherence to water quality and safety standards.
  • Oversee laboratory testing and ensure compliance with local and international regulations (e.g., FDA, DOH, ISO).
  • Ensure proper sanitation, cleaning, and maintenance of production lines and water systems.
  • Supervise and train production, maintenance, and logistics teams.
  • Assign duties, evaluate performance, and promote teamwork and discipline.
  • Enforce workplace safety and hygiene standards.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance and repairs of machinery and plant infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and technicians for spare parts and equipment servicing.
  • Maintain records of maintenance schedules and machine performance.
  • Manage inventory of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers for timely delivery and dispatch.
  • Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Prepare and manage plant budgets, cost control, and expense reports.
  • Analyze production data and prepare performance reports for management.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Ensure full compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and safety training sessions.
  • Maintain necessary permits, licenses, and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical), Business Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in plant operations, preferably in bottled water or beverage manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of water purification systems (RO, UV, ozone, filtration).
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in production management software and MS Office applications.
  • Familiar with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) standards.
