Job Summary
The Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting SMT equipment—including Screen Printer, SPI, Glue Dispenser, Chip Mounter, Reflow Oven, and AOI—to ensure smooth operations, minimize downtime, and support cost-effective maintenance through performance monitoring and preventive activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate SMT production equipment including Screen Printer, Solder Paste Inspection (SPI), Glue Dispenser, Chip Mounter, Reflow Oven, and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) to ensure consistent and reliable performance.
  • Respond quickly to equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
  • Track and analyze Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Support efforts to reduce Repair and Maintenance (R&M) costs through effective troubleshooting and preventive measures.
  • Enhance and execute preventive maintenance activities to extend equipment lifespan and prevent unexpected failures.

Qualifications

  • Technical / Vocational Course graduate preferrable Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Electromechanics or any related field
  • With at least 3-year solid experience in SMT line sustaining, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of basic electronics, electrical and mechanical engineering
  • Willing to work in shifting schedule
