Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department. This role includes overseeing journal entries, maintaining financial records, supporting month-end closings, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience supervising a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily:

  • Review and monitor accuracy of journal entries

  • Ensure all business transactions are recorded promptly and accurately

Weekly:

  • Monitor accuracy of accounts in the accounting system (GFire)

  • Analyze expenses and fixed assets

  • Update financial databases to ensure data accuracy

  • Review collection letters and billing documents

Monthly:

  • Prepare and present monthly financial statement (F/S) analysis

  • Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable

  • Generate monthly financial reports and reconciliations for multiple units

  • Ensure timely submission of government filings and updated Books of Accounts

Annually:

  • Assist with preparation of annual sales certificates for business permit renewals

  • Support company budget preparation

  • Assist HR in generating annual Alphalist reports (computation and consolidation)

Administrative & Leadership:

  • Supervise accounting team members in day-to-day activities

  • Recommend process improvements for accounting procedures

  • Approve requests for BIR payments and document stamping

  • Monitor and ensure on-time payments of BIR-approved returns

  • Assist in preparing monthly job order reports

  • Support administrative tasks and coordinate with relevant departments

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy

  • At least 3 years of accounting experience

  • Experience in team supervision preferred

  • Knowledge of AP/AR processes and bookkeeping

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • High attention to detail and organizational ability

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Trustworthy, proactive, and able to work independently
