  • Food Preparation:
  • Washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits.
  • Assisting with basic food preparation tasks like mixing, stirring, and portioning.
  • Preparing ingredients for other kitchen staff.
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing:
  • Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces, floors, and equipment.
  • Ensuring the kitchen is clean and organized at all times.
  • Organization and Stocking:
  • Stocking and organizing supplies, including food and cleaning products.
  • Receiving and storing deliveries.
  • Properly storing food items according to safety standards.
  • Other Duties:
  • Taking out the trash and recycling.
  • Assisting with dishwashing and cleaning tasks.
  • Assisting with food service as needed.
  • Following all food safety and hygiene standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Physical Stamina: The ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in food preparation and cleaning tasks.
  • Teamwork Skills: Collaborating effectively with other kitchen staff.
  • Basic Food Preparation Skills: Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques.
  • Time Management Skills: Ability to manage tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety Standards: Understanding and adhering to food safety and hygiene practices.
