Work Details:

  • Client: IT Consulting Company
  • Job Type: Direct-hire, Full-time Employment
  • Work Setup: Hybrid / 2x a week onsite (Makati or BGC, Taguig)
  • Shift: Flexible mid-Shift (8-hour)
  • Must be available between 4 PM-7 PM (Example: 3 PM-12 MN is acceptable as long as core hours are covered)
  • Must be still open to other shifts as need arises

Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer or Lead to join client's cross-functional team to help design, develop, and support advanced web applications. The ideal candidate will be technically hands-on, with strong skills in design, coding, and testing, and will work closely with Tech Leads, onshore partners, and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions aligned with project goals
  • Design and develop code, concepts, and layouts for web applications
  • Ensure end-to-end product quality and provide technical support to the team
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and quality
  • Assist in resolving technical issues and support deployment activities
  • Work closely with Tech Leads and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery

Mandatory Skills:

Leadership & Design:

  • Experience in designing, leading, and architecting solutions

Backend Essentials:

  • Java 17 (or Java 8)
  • RESTful APIs
  • Spring Boot & Spring Framework
  • Cloud-native applications (e.g., microservices)
  • JUnit / Integration Testing
  • Security implementation
  • Persistence (RDBMS or NoSQL)

Common Tools & Practices:

  • CI/CD tools
  • Test automation
  • Git / Version control
  • Agile / Scrum methodologies

Nice to have:

  • Front-end essential skills
